Albany, NY (January 13, 2006) - Six major cleaning industry trade associations and affiliated organizations have joined together to support the efforts of the Cleaning Industry Research Institute (CIRI). Executives from the American Society for Healthcare Environmental Services (ASHES), the Building Service Contractors Association International (BSCAI), the Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI), the International Executive Housekeepers Association (IEHA), the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) and the International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA) have jointly signed a letter asking interested parties to “get involved with this important endeavor.”

All six organizations are active members of CIRI, with representatives serving on the Institute’s Board of Directors. In their joint letter, the executives “recognize the pressing need for science-based data in clearly demonstrating the value of the services we provide.” The executives signing the letter include:

In concluding their letter, the executives asked everyone to support CIRI both financially and through active participation in its committees.
